Atebtec Limited is an independent consultancy team, whose principal has over 35 years experience in the Defence domain. Our primary interest is to support companies with their growth ambitions promoting ‘Out of the Box’ thinking and challenging the status quo, which will lead to improved effectiveness and reduced cost of ownership.
We can bring this through our involvement with international design and development programmes including platform designs within the UK and more importantly overseas, including Australia, France, Germany, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and the USA, providing a completely different perspective on the approaches to design and development taken across the globe. As an advocate for innovation and technology adoption, including that from other sectors, which has been driven through membership of Technical Committees, initiation of an innovation zone for startups companies at various events, and former chairmanship of Science &Technology working groups.
Jeff graduated in Maritime Technology, and has spent 35 years working in the Defence and Maritime domains on projects across the globe. His initial roles focused on research and development projects in hydrodynamics and naval architecture, involving both theoretical and experimental work into vehicle hydrodynamics, propulsor design and towed systems.
Since that time he has played a significant role in design and development projects for a range of projects from land based mechanical handling systems, aero engine test beds to renewable energy systems. This has included the integration of payload systems into a number of platform (surface ships and submarines) programmes, with an involvement in 6 different first of class submarine designs and a number of surface ship programmes. Alongside these platform programmes he has contributed to a large number of R&D projects.
In his current role as a Consultant, he is involved with a number of organisations, from small startups to large companies, helping them grow their business globally.
